Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) is the apex body of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) endeavouring towards promoting excellence and global competitiveness in PSEs. SCOPE for nearly five decades has been enabling its members to improve their effectiveness and efficiency in the global market through its strong policy advocacy efforts and capacity building programmes. Over the years, it has evolved into a dynamic organization driven towards providing a cohesive and conducive operating environment for the PSEs.

SCOPE is the only Public Sector employers forum that creates esprit-de-corps and plays a vital role in providing interface between PSEs and policy makers in the Government to deliberate on various issues like CSR, Corporate Governance, Labour Laws, RTI, Wage Revision etc. besides, organizing interactions between PSEs and regulators such as CVC, CIC, CAG, SEBI etc. Nationally, SCOPE has been representing PSEs on all tripartite bodies constituted by Ministry of Labour and Employment on CBDT, EPFO, ESIC, National Safety Council, Wages Committees etc. Internationally, SCOPE represents PSEs on International Labour Organization (ILO), OECD, WTO and other such eminent global institutions.

SCOPE has been organising various need based programmes in collaboration with renowned National and International Institutes and Experts, thereby ensuring capacity building of PSEs in line with global benchmarks and changing paradigms of business. In relation to the same, many programs with respect to evolving business technology, CSR, Corporate Governance, Leadership, Finance, Climate Change, RTI, Corporate Communication etc. are organised from time to time so as to keep the PSE executives abreast of latest developments and new initiatives in respective domains. “Advanced Global Leadership Programme”, one of SCOPE’s flagship programme provides, global exposure to the participants by organising visits to leading International SOEs, International bodies (ILO, WTO, Indian Missions etc.) in South East Asia, Europe and USA. With the onset of the pandemic and in line with global changes, SCOPE has also transformed its methodology and adopted virtual platforms to continue its interactions and collaborations. SCOPE has successfully organised a series of webinars which have been well received and much appreciated for their content, coverage and quality by the speakers and participants.
